About the Role
Schedule and Availability Requirements:
The position requires being flexible to all needed cleanings scheduled from 10 am to 4 pm Monday through Sunday, including all holidays so as to complete all cleanings as needed. Cleanings are not every day but are regular and strictly based on reservation lengths. Generally, cleanings are scheduled weeks to days in advance although few cleanings are confirmed by 8 pm on the day before the cleaning starts (at the latest). You can view your cleaning schedule on your free app/online account. Reliable transportation is required.
Communication Requirements:
The position requires to be accessible for communication and response in a timely manner in case a business need was to arise. A smartphone with cellular service is not provided but is required to complete cleanings.
Responsibilities:
1. Spot Cleaning (light cleaning; just tidying up; all supplies and equipment is provided on-site)
2. Bed Linen & Towel Cleaning (laundry appliances and supplies provided and on-site):
3. Light and Simple Inventory/Amenity Replenishment and Counting (supplies provided on-site): Each cleaning requires perishables to be counted and submitted and each three weeks other inventory must be counted and submitted.
4. Receiving items when the deliveries arrive at the location.
5. Maintaining the security and privacy of business assets and information: When you take this position you take a stand in recognizing that an important aspect of every business is to maintain the safety, security, and privacy of both assets and information of the business.
6. Make sure the place is prepared in time before the next guest arrives.
7. Promptly report any and all items that are missing, broken, visually unappealing, or are properly functioning.
8. Properly certifying through the communication app or online promptly after cleaning is completed.
9. Other, more rare, tasks according to business needs as they arise.
Compensation:
Compensation is paid out at a flat rate per cleaning decided ahead of time and varies from location to location. Time for more rare, circumstances, if documented properly, will be compensated based on resolution findings and can take up to three weeks to resolve. You are considered a private contractor, not an employee, so taxes are not withheld. All cleaning supplies, appliances (laundry machines), equipment, and inventory are provided on-site. There is potential for more cleanings and promotions.
Dress Code:
There is no specific dress code, however, cleaners are asked only to dress respectfully and modestly.
Business is steady so a cleaner is needed on a regular, on-going basis. This job is not seasonal; the short-term rental goes on year-round and depending on how you can determine if you are promoted with pay raise to a property manager. There is a potential for more cleaning work needed in the next couple of months as the business expands. There is potential for other tasks that are compensated accordingly.
Other help for lawn care, landscaping, and regular maintenance can be considered on an as-needed basis.
